Duration:  January 1st - February 1st, Realm: Neo-Maera (but anyone can participate)

Winter has arrived in Neo-Maera, and it makes life rough - especially for those residing within lakes and rivers, whose surface is often frozen solid! But did you know that the leviathans are not the only humanoid species taking on the icy waters? In fact, a whole community of merfolk lives within Grand Lake, fiercly protecting their area from predators serpent and human alike...unless, of course, you are there to do trade or help with the icy issues.

For this event, you will help out the Nimare by breaking the ice on the surface of grand lake for them! This will allow them to reach the surface more freely again, as well as give them some ice to store away for summer. Use this opportunity to get to know these creatures better, or to collect some nifty treasures from below the surface. As usual, you can earn the event currency ice shards by completing the related event prompts!

Dive deep and meet the nimare

While they are capable of travelling the deep sea and all waters, regardless of salty or not, the main base of the Nimare is the Grand Lake. As the name implies, this is a lake of gigantic proportions, located on one of the few pieces of land mass in Neo-Maera. Time to set sail and meet them!

As per usual, you will be able to earn different items relating to the Nimare during this event: the customary MYOs and traits! You can trade for these with Corali. All of these will also be available for coin starting February.

Of course, there is also a new award, "Friendly Fishes", as well as theme and background! The award is limited to this event, but the background and theme will stay available for coins!

New ways to transform

Have you ever wanted a noodly dragon or a humanoid beastling, but didn't want to spend the coin? Fear not! There is now an alternative way to passively earn transformation traits/items that are uncommon and up! All you need to do is give your character some love with artwork, and if you collect enough, you get the transformation trait for free. In order to do that, check out the newly added Transformation prompts. To help you navigate, transformations now also show their rarity - all common transformations are openly available, and higher rarities need to be unlocked.

Meet the NPCs

The figure page has been reworked and you may now browse important characters by their species! If you ever want to read up on shopkeepers or event characters, this is the place to go. It's not a lot yet, but all current activity characters will be added, and new events will reveal new info on older characters- or introduce new faces.

Winter wonderland

It's the final and coldest season! All over the realms, people prepare for christmas, ice skating, the first snow, and cozy days at home. So settle in, grab some cookies, and enjoy  these new seasonal traits and items!

Earn the new seasonal currency, chocolate cookies , by completing the newly released Seasonal Winter prompts! You may also want to visit the new daily, Cato's Cookies, for free cookies each day during winter.

This season comes with 3 new traits that work on any species: Fluffy , Crystallized and Plushified! Pay a visit to Fire & Steelworks, Freaque Antique and Aknaras' Grotto to exchange your candy corn for a new look!

The new Seeds for Apples Activity is here! It will allow you to hand in apples of any kind for a chance of 1-2 randomly picked appleseeds.

it's time to save christmas

Duration:  December 1st - January 1st, Realm: ALL

As you go about your day as usual, returning from a recent adventure or enjoying the qualities of winter, two mysterious figures appear in the sky. They seem immediately threatening as they address the masses, claiming they have arrived to take over your realm! But will you just let some invadors from space ruin christmas?!

This is a community event! That means you will work together to gather vis  in order to reach the goal set below, and ultimately repel the aussault of the Arma Caeli. To participate, simply look out for the prompts that grant you vis upon completion. Any vis earned counts towards the global total!

If you manage to hit the goal by the end of the December, your efforts were successful and the realms are at peace again for now, having earned the respect of this highly advanced species. If not...well, do you really want to find out? Collecting the Key to Arma Vault 1 will grant access to an event shop where you can purchase some big prizes. These prizes will be even bigger if you succeed!

face the arma caeli

The Arma Caeli is a race that has been focussed on conquering other realms for eons. They have the rare ability to easily travel through the Reflection and as such have easy access to newly formed Realms, whilst keeping their own mostly hidden. Some would even theorize that they are the original inhabitants of the Reflection before it turned into the warped crossroad of realms it is today. If you would like to learn more about them, check out the newly added species guide and some lore on their home, Armanite!
