Craft your Equos MYOs

Good day o7 Today I bring you an update that allows you to craft Equos MYOs (both regular and infernalis). It works in the same way as Lopilu MYO crafting works, except that the rarer MYO slot has an additional ingredient. It is completely optional. But if you do make a MYO item this way, you can earn a cool new award. So read up on how exactly it works here!

Explore the Nether

Duration:  June 1st - July 1st, Realm: Velarune (but can be completed by any character!)

Strange Equos have been sighted across Velarune, and no one truly knows where they came from - and what they want. They don't seem to follow the rules of the realm and elements, and have often been observed to show violence towards other Equos. The Aeria have decided it is time to investigate and protect the four existing associations. 

This is, again, a plot centered event! Which means that prompts and new plot acts will be released on a weekly basis. In order to get the best out of the experience, it is recommend that you read the act dialogues first and then check out the related event prompts. As always, you can read all acts of "A Summer Nightmare" in the event plot library at any time. Note that these dialogues are not optimized for mobile and may be a bit difficult to read there.

Get your own Equos Infernalis

As the event progresses, you will be able to earn an Equos Infernalis MYO slot by completing the associated prompts! We also plan to release the craftable Equos MYOs sometime during the month, so stay tuned for that.

Unveil new Equos traits

Thanks to the tantalizing trait contest, you can be excited for two new Equos traits as well! If you would like to follow in the footsteps of the mythical horse, Sleipnir, the extraordinary "Eight-Legged" trait will be right up your alley. It can be earned by letting Rêve cleanse you of darkness (which you get enough of by completing all three event prompts this month). As for the trait, it is quite rare, but...be careful not to lose your head or you might end up "Headless". This trait is aquired with a Mystical Sword that now stocks at Fire & Steelworks and will be available any time.

Wings of Ascension

With this months little plot coming to a close today, from now on you will have the ability to unlock the Ascended transformation for your Lopilu! This is also the first complex transformation released on Realms Away, and more are to come for different species in future.

One time only, this will also yield you an award and the Brush of Royalty as a token of appreciation for the hard work. In accordance to this, the transformation page was updated with more information on Ascension and what it looks like. Ever wanted wings? Now you can have them. View some ascended Lopilu on the masterlist for examples!

"The ascended form of a Lopilu, said to be a technique lost with time. Recently, the founder of Nightglade, Janus, has made an effort to return this knowledge to the general Lopilu public through his diciples, Night and Light. Those who manage to ascend unlock the ability to enter ascended mode at will, which boosts their ability to efficiently wield magic, enhancing their combat skills. It takes a toll on the body, however, so it is not recommended to stay in this form for long periods of time."

Transformation Updates

While on vacation today was a rainy day and I decided to work on transformations in general a bit more, since it fits the event! Here's what has been updated:

• Added more text/detail to most currently available transformations in general
• Renamed some dragon transformations (regular to drake, removed the dragon prefix)
• Added two new dragon transformations: Wyvern and Wyrm! You can at any time re-design your dragon into any form, but they may only be either a Wyrm or Serpentine at any time. 
• Added Humanoid & Shift transformation to dragons. Current Main forms will be changed to humanoid later for clarity (as not all dragons see this as their main form), and shift is for inbetween forms! 
• Added a transformation guide! Wohoo!

And here is what I plan to update when I get back home & have code access:

• add transformations to each species guide to improve the single access point to all species info
• turn the looking glass on transformations into a "masterlist examples" button as it is on traits already for clarity

Craft your MYO Items

Hello all! Today, I bring you a new feature that I wanted to introduce for a long time...but I just didn't have the time capacity to finish it. So, we decided to introduce it for Lopilu now and steadily add it for other species. You can alternatively craft MYO items now! This requires a mixture of:

• small amount of coin & magic
• prompt completion
• cultivation

And is completely optional. But if you do make a MYO item this way, you can earn a cool new award. So read up on how exactly it works here!

Upcoming Site Layout changes

As discord members may know, I have been experimenting a little more with the site layout for Realms Away. I believe I have come up with a slight change that makes the site look a but more modern and streamlined, especially improving user & character profiles, fixing some dark mode oversights, and just...giving me happy chemicals. This theme is planned to be brought live with the June event! Hopefully you will like it, the changes are not that drastic cx

Cylunny on Vacation

I will be going on vacation from upcoming saturday, a week until the following sunday. This means that the June event is likely to be delayed until the 2nd of June, as I will not have access to my usual computer. It also means I might not be as active in the discord, so this is mostly a FYI.
