Ever wanted to be a shop owner?

User Shops are finally on Realms Away! Like in the good old days, you can become an apple vendor again - or really, a vendor of anything you want (except for some specific items).

Steps to opening shop!

• Go to your shops to open shop!
• Add items from your inventory to the shop via the quickstock feature (accessible from your inventory, or the marketplace/user shop page)
• Back to your shop, you will now see the items currently stocked and can adjust pricing/visibility or remove them again!
• You can also check out the marketplace for shops opened by other members, or to search a specific item~

Duration:  November 1st - December1st, Realm: Arboreum

On your travels through the realms, you come across a place completely covered in thick and dense trees and plants. It seems peaceful, at first- until you happen accross two bickering creatures that look kind of cute....

Welcome to Arboreum, the home of the Beastlings! These tiny critters take on the form of animals most of the time, but they are said to be able to shift into other, more humanoid forms. Unfortunately, as nice as this part of the forest looks, Arboreum is always in a state of conflict between two sides: The day-dwelling Vulpel, and the night-dwelling Vesperus! For eons, the two types of Beastlings have been at odds, fighting at the border between the Ancient and the Ruined woods. Mayhaps you can learn more about them by befriending them, and what's better to make a good impression than some well thought out gifts?

Collect acorns and bugs

As per usual with events,  you can earn magic , by completing the newly released Event Prompts! The main currencies for this event, however, are acorns  and bugs . Both delicacies that the different Beastlings favor. If you collect enough, you will be able to trade them for specific items related to either the Vulpel or the Vesperus! They will thank you for filling their storages, too...

war of beastlings

With the reveal of Arboreum we meet the cute but fierce Beastlings! You can buy the new MYO and trait items at the Beastling Border during november, and starting next month on at Joyous Toys, the Greenhouse and Aknaras' Grotto for coins. Make sure to grab the mythical trait items (Hazelnut and Strong Blood) during this event though, as they will not be sold for coins regularly!

Join a side!

By completing the "We are the night" and "A Vulpels Tale",  you can unlock these two brand new awards!

UPDATE: A new transformation & a walk in the woods

Start: November 10th!

After 10 days, your characters may  feel that they have a pretty good understanding of Arboreum. That is, until they come accross a pair of very peculiar beastlings! They seem different somehow, less furry, more human? As your character inquires about how that is possible, the female laughs softly, and the male scowls. "A sliver of magic," She says. "From a strange rift." They offer your character a pendant with such a sliver and a hefty reward...if they best one of the two beastlings in a game of your choosing! 

Starting novemeber 10th, you may complete the "A new Transformation" Prompt for additional acorns, bugs and a new trait item that grants your beastling the humanoid transformation! This trait item will move to the regular shops in december. Make sure to also collect extra currency from the new "Walk in the Woods" daily!

Something new to collect

Awards are finally in use on Realms Away! In order to get proper use of them, 5 awards covering the events and inception of Realms Away on lorekeeper have been created & distributed to those of you who qualify.  In future, we plan to add awards for reaching certain milestones in species ownership, and want to continue adding them for completing specific event related prompts.

Pioneer  - For users who signed up before July (and thus were very early here)
Quibon Enjoyer - For those who completed prompts during or at the Quibon Festival
Faun are Friends - For those who participated in the Faun VS Zombies event
Dragon Tamer - For everyone that collected a dragon egg (How to tame your dragon)
Snake Charmer - If you completed a serpent or apple related prompt. You can still earn this by completing the Snake Bites prompts until the 31st!!

a big companion update

It's finally time to reveal the two new companions from the creator contest - Spidel and Geodo! Both of them have been released and are up for sale in Freaque Antique and the Greenhouse respectively. Even better- they come with 2 additional elemental forms beside their regular form! They are available for 50 just like all regular companions.

Seasonal friends

ON TOP of that, prepare for two spooky new seasonal companions in Shadorb and Zomon! These two will be available for 10 all autumn, and retire in december until next year.

Cultivate off-season traits

I mentioned it on the server before, and the start is finally here! No more sitting on your magic , because from today on, you can cultivate off-season traits, and you will need magic for it. A lot. The way it works is simple, so read on!

Unlock the greenhouse and magic laboratory

Two new cultivation areas are available: The greenhouse and the magic laboratory. You will not have access by default, but if you check out these two new activities, maybe you will soon....

Prepare for cultivation and plant the seeds!

If you ever find yourself unsure on what you can plant where, there is an all new cultivation guide that's got your back! The items you will need for the seasonal cultivation are available in the same shops as the items during their season. For now, we offer the Lava Pepper Seeds and Enchanted Wax for 200 each, at the Greenhouse and Freaque Antique. The tools to prepare their respective plots are sold at 50 at the same shops!

And finally...

Of course, every feature is still a wip, but we hope to keep adding off-season traits to cultivattion, and new companions and elemental forms where we can! The amount of effort that it takes me (cylunny) to draw all of the art is very high, however. So I hope you enjoy this update as much as I do, and please have patience with me in future  too <3

Companion masters

After careful deliberation and mulling over it, we came to a decision on who should win the contest, and which small little critter will become an official companion! The decision was hard and while there were many designs we liked, these are just the ones that we believe will best fit Realms Away (for now!). I (Cyl) will be working on getting to draw these and make them official as soon as I can when there is a gap in my workload. It will happen! For now, enjoy their original designs~
