Make a Wish

The wishlist extension has been added to Realms Away! You can now put items onto your personal wishlist and do with that what you will. Maybe it will help you when creating trade posts on discord, or you just like to categorize things.

• You can find your wishlist here!
• Items can be added from the item page (when looking at a specific category), or from shops/inventories after clicking on the item. Look out for the little button with a + that says 'add wishlist' when hovered!

Milestone Awards

This idea has been simmering ever since I got reminded of Gleamstic milestone rewards from way back when. Right now, you can only find the Gleamstic milestone under the awards page! If you own 5 or more Gleamstic, go claim your free event trait + some coinage and show everyone that you are a true Gleamstic appreciator!

In future, as other species unlock mythical/event traits, awards for them will also be added. Also, awards for having earned a certain amount of a specific currency during your time playing are planned. Who knows what else is to come!

Transformation Prompts

The Almost Human Prompt is back, allowing your Beastlings to work towards a reflection pendant again! This prompt, like all transformation prompts, will be permanent. From here on out, this is how transformation prompts will work:

• They may be single prompts or, in future, prompt chains (depending on how special the transformation is)
• Transformation prompts always award a specific transformation item to the character that you completed the prompt for
• They are once per character
• You always have to link the character so it can automatically receive the item upon prompt approval
• Transformation items are bound to the character
• Once the character has the item in their inventory, you can submit a design update request and the related transformation should now be selectable!
• If you still own a transformation item that isn't bound to a character, feel free to attach it to a character and still submit the design update regularly

This will be a quick one! Some changes that I think will serve us better in the future for further transformations and plans.

1) Transformations are no longer traits

The way it worked before, your character would have a trait for being a deerling...and a form being deerling. Whereas other forms such as horseling had no trait because it was common, but still had the form. This is for one inconsistent and for two listed the same info twice on Deerling/Serpentine dragons, so the transformation related traits were removed! 

2) Characters who unlock a transformation will now hold the related item instead

As some of you may have noticed, I removed the traits but added the transformation item to the characters inventory! This signifies that the character has unlocked a transformation, which we can check during design updates. These items are thus character bound and cannot be moved back to the inventory!

3) Transformations decided by birth are now freely available

Whether a dragon or equos was born a serpentine or deerling (or not) - it is decided when they are born. As such, it's not a form to work towards, which makes the following point difficult. As such, you need no more items to use these! In turn, the Serpentine Fireworks and Wooden Deer items have been discontinued. For everyone who still owns them, you can sell them for 100 coins from your inventory as they hold no more use in future (other than being discontinued xD)

4) Transformation Prompts will be reworked to be lore related - including the Alter transformation

In future, transformation prompts will be written to relate to lore, and should display your character as they unlock their new form. Right now, this will concern the Humanoid Beastling form, and  the alter form! All characters that have already unlocked these have been granted the respective items, but new characters will have to unlock them via their journey. The Alter form specifically will focus on increasing the bond between your character and  their artefact companion! Unfortunately, by default lorekeeper does not allow setting prompt rewards for characters when creating a prompt.  They would have to, however, to make the item bound to your character. Since this will have to be custom coded/added, the prompt rework will have to wait a bit. 

If you still own a reflection pendant you can use it normally! Just send it in with the design update request and we will place it in your characters inventory upon approval cx

Sorry for the confusion caused by my indecisiveness, but I think these changes make way more sense than the initial system, and look forward to showing you new transformations this year!

The new player guide & experience has been updated!

This has been on my todo for a while, and it's probably just another step for a better starting point for new members! What exactly changed, you may wonder? You can no longer purchase very cheap MYOs of the base species (Lovabuns/Faun) and others at the Reflections Crossroad. However, two new freely claimable items have been added to the shop to take their place, offering a choice of one free MYO of any currently available species and subtype, as well as 5 coupons that give a 50% discount on a purchase from any shop (except event shops). The guide itself has become a tiny bit shorter, but may get another overhaul to be more visual in future.

Of course, older users are free to claim the two new items as well! Go get em!

Fengárion has returned to free you of excess magic...or sweets, if you desire. You can visit him if you wish to trade in some unwanted currencies for coins at a 2:1 rate!

money does grow on trees

Larali swears that you can grow coins from trees... if you choose to believe her, you may want to give this a try! Here's what you need:

• Access to your Greenhouse
• Go to Larali's Greenhouse for the following purchases:
• Purchase a Hardwood Shovel to unlock a peculiar trees plot
• You can then use Coin Seeds to grow a Coin Tree that will yield a full 100 coins once fully grown!

Before we move into the new year, I have a little but useful update for you! Cultivation has been updated and you can now build/grow/create all three Autumn Seasonal Traits! But for two of them, you will have  to unlock a new area first...

Unlock your own Workshop

• Working with wood and metal or other materials needs a proper workspace. Why don't you talk to Thunder about finding one?
• Once you have access to the Workshop, you can purchase a Steel File to unlock a metalworks plot, or a Sturdy Saw for a woodworks plot!
• You can then use a Mechanical Limb Blueprint or Ominous Wood to create the Mechanical Limb and Ominous Chest items (Mechanical & Spectral Traits)!

These Items can be purchased at Freaque Antique and Fire & Steelworks respectively!

Aknaras has a new vial for you

This beautiful Vial of Clarity will allow you to brew the Potion of Clarity (Translucent trait)! Purchase it at Aknaras' Grotto to use it with your Potion Brewing plot.
