Ice ice baby

Duration:  January 1st - February 1st, Realm: Neo-Maera (but anyone can participate)

Winter has arrived in Neo-Maera, and it makes life rough - especially for those residing within lakes and rivers, whose surface is often frozen solid! But did you know that the leviathans are not the only humanoid species taking on the icy waters? In fact, a whole community of merfolk lives within Grand Lake, fiercly protecting their area from predators serpent and human alike...unless, of course, you are there to do trade or help with the icy issues.

For this event, you will help out the Nimare by breaking the ice on the surface of grand lake for them! This will allow them to reach the surface more freely again, as well as give them some ice to store away for summer. Use this opportunity to get to know these creatures better, or to collect some nifty treasures from below the surface. As usual, you can earn the event currency ice shards by completing the related event prompts!

Dive deep and meet the nimare

While they are capable of travelling the deep sea and all waters, regardless of salty or not, the main base of the Nimare is the Grand Lake. As the name implies, this is a lake of gigantic proportions, located on one of the few pieces of land mass in Neo-Maera. Time to set sail and meet them!

As per usual, you will be able to earn different items relating to the Nimare during this event: the customary MYOs and traits! You can trade for these with Corali. All of these will also be available for coin starting February.

Of course, there is also a new award, "Friendly Fishes", as well as theme and background! The award is limited to this event, but the background and theme will stay available for coins!
