Quibon Festival

Some people from a long time ago may remember Quibon, a summer festival that is celebrated in Candoris! Every year around the June and July months, people gather in the brightly coloured district of Qui in Lumen to celebrate Quibon! During Quibon Gleamstic gather in the city to celebrate for five nights with a giant Masquerade ball. Everyone dresses up to become a different person for a night (or five if they have the energy!) It is said that during this tradition, spirits like to show up and visit their loved ones. That being the case, the festival is a friendly and peaceful event. No one never knows if the next person they meet may be the spirit of a loved one. During these five nights of celebration, there are carnival rides, music, games and intricate hologram and fireworks shows. During the day, while more toned down, there's still food stands and games to be enjoyed. Gleamstic of Qui like to dress in East Asian fashion inspired clothes, and like to hide behind heavy makeup or masks. It is encouraged to follow this dress code during the festival, even for tourists.
