Neo Maera is a realm mostly covered in water, with one major continent and random strips of land scattered throughout the sea. Most of these smaller strips are covered by dense jungle or swamps. The contintent itself, however, offers a bigger variety of flora - needle and leafy trees may be found here, as well as wide green meadows. It is no wonder that many humans decided to settle there and never leave the safety of solid land and their big cities. Serpent population on the main contintent is comparatively low, and they thrive in the wild far off from humans.
Just as the main contintent is inhabited by humans for centuries, there have also always been those venturing out to the sea. As such, many floating man-made cities exist, serving as a harbor for ships and home to many. These cities are a marvel of technology, bracing the rough weather and waves. To those who were born and raised there, land rats remain cowards that hide from the beauty of the world.
Serpents and humans tend to not mingle with one another, as there is great distrust on both sides: some humans regularly catch the weaker serpents, treating them like show animals or just another big catch. Serpents, on the other hand, have been known to feast on humans. Suffice to say, tensions are high, and neither side seems to be looking forward to peaceful existence yet - at least not on a broader scale.
For the most part, a realm where magic is not applied by any creature. Exceptions exist for those who deal with the reflection, very similar to Ihrutia - albeit this realm is a lot more modern and focused on technology.

Where saurians rule the desert. Some serpents make home here as well, but they certainly have competition from saurians, who will protect their own kind fiercely. The always hot climate is not suited to humans, so it is rather rare to come accross one - and most Sandfall inhabitants wouldn't want it any other way. When travelling here, be prepared, or the desert may turn into a dangerous expedition.
While some bigger cities have been constructed in the desert, being a good hub for any species, most signs of life you will find here are huts and tents, smaller settlements built by saurians or caves inhabited by the occassional serpent.

As the name implies, this is a lake of gigantic proportions, located on one of the few pieces of land mass in Neo-Maera. It is the origin and home of the Nimare, who have resided here for centuries, only rarely venturing out - both due to the dangers of serpents and humans. Its waters change color depending on the time of day, and is especialy gorgeous during dawn or dusk when it turns to millions of pink and orange hues.
Even though Nimare are capable of breathing underwater, they like their homes and palaces dry, so most buildings are surrounded by specifically designed air bubbles, and some of them build their homes on the surface or near the shore of Grand Lake. On the surface, surrounding both the lake and shore homes, stand their giant city walls meant to keep unwanted guests outside. These walls are strictly guarded, although it is easy to enter the city as a trader - Nimare love to trade for things they cannot easily access, and are willing to pay good coin for it.
