Instead of purchasing MYOs straight from shops or earning them during events that focus on a specific species, you will also slowly be able to craft them yourself! This is meant as an alternative fun way to earn yourself a new character without just spending straight up coin. Not all species may be available for crafting at the time, but they will be added as Realms Away progresses! In order to craft a MYO, here is what you will need to do:
- Obtain the MYO recipe by completing a prompt (one time only, the recipe is then unlocked forever).
- Cultivate a Synthetic Soul.
- Purchase Unformed Matter.
- Do a prompt to earn a species specific ingredient.
- (Optional) Do a second prompt to earn a species specific special ingredient.
- Craft your MYO item by using the recipe from step 1!
- (Optional) One time only, you can submit a prompt to earn an exclusive Award and 50 magic for having crafted your first MYO of a species.
Below, we will go into these steps in detail! They work the same for any species, except that the species specific ingredients will differ.
Obtaining the Recipe
You will need to complete a MYO prompt once to gain the ability to craft a MYO item. Alternatively, a user who has already done this may craft it for you, but you may not claim the exclusive award in this case - so we recommend going the full way. Be careful who you trust with this, though! Simply check out the prompt page and look for the prompt that rewards a crafting recipe, named after the MYO slot you are targeting. In case of Lopilu, this would be the "To the Lopilands" prompt that grants you Fountain Bloom (Recipe).
Synthetic Soul
This item requires the Magical Laboratory Cultivation area. If you have not unlocked it yet, you may want to check out the Cultivation Guide first. To cultivate one, you will need the following items:
- To create an Advanced Magics plot, you must buy a Magical Wand for 50
from Aknaras' Grotto. - Then, purchase a Soul Flask for 25
, which you can use to start cultivating the plot. It is also sold at Aknaras' Grotto - Take care of the plot for 6 days to harvest the Synthetic Soul!
Unformed Matter
This is easy! You can buy one for 50 at the Reflection's Crossroad, twice a month.
Species Prompts
Now that the basic ingredients are accounted for, you will need species specific ingredients. For this, you will want to filter the MYO prompts by the species you want to go for. Then, complete the prompts needed for the species specific and optionally special ingredient! For Lopilu, this is the prompt "Manes and Magic" and it will grant you a Sleeping Bloom.
Crafting
Go to your crafting page and select the MYO recipe you want to craft. Craft the item and you are done! Be sure to have unlocked the recipe first, or it will not show.
Exclusive Award
Once you are done, you may want to claim a species specific, exclusive award that shows everyone that you went through the process of creating a MYO via crafting, learning more about a species in the process! For this, you will want to find the prompt that rewards an award. You will need to link your inventory as proof that you obtained a MYO slot via crafting. In the case of Lopilu, that'd be the "Fountain Keeper" prompt.
