Endurance Training

Osiris grunted with exertion as he deftly spun his staff around in his hands, striking the training dummies that were set up in makeshift training area he’d set up deep in the woods of Vinegrove. After speaking with the pair of Lopilu, Night & Light, he found out he’d needed to train himself without the use of his magic and while he’d seemed a tiny bit irritated at first he knew that he could do it once he set his mind to it so after he’d departed from them, he immediately used his magic to help him get home in order to start his training quicker.

Heaving a breath, he lightly propped himself up on his staff in order to take a break then his gaze shifted towards Pelias, who was perched on top of a rock and seemingly watching him closely as he trained. Osiris raised an eyebrow at his friend and lightly clicked his tongue, which startled the venom Geodo and he huffed a breath of amusement through his nose because he realized that at some point, Pelias had fallen asleep while watching him train.

“What do you think, friend? Have I improved?” Osiris called out. Pelias resettled himself on his rock and clicked his beak several times and Osiris nodded along.

“Glad you’re impressed and see improvement, friend.” Osiris said. Pelias clicked his beak once again and an offended look crossed his rocky face as if he were insulted that Osiris dare think he didn’t have any faith in him improving his training without the use of Magic and Osiris let out a low laugh, shaking his head in amusement.

“I never said you didn’t have faith in me, friend. I know you do. You’ve always had faith in me, since day one.” Osiris replied and that seemed to appease the Geodo who clicked his beak again then settled back down onto the rock, tucking his beak into his rocky wing and falling back into the nap he’d been startled out of before when Osiris clicked his tongue at him.

Having taken a sufficient enough break, Osiris shifted his feet apart then deftly threw his staff up into the air and swiftly caught it and started quickly going through the motions of his training routine again, repetitively going between each training dummy, smacking it alternately with his staff and sometimes with his fists. He could do this. He knew he could. He just had to have the faith in himself just like Pelias had in him.
