Holiday on Ice Cream | Ice Complicated

Ice cream... the most fickle beast of a treat in all of the realms. One moment it can be a wonderful texture experience that melts in your mouth and allows you to feel the craftsmanship that the ice cream artist put into the scoops- and the next it can be nothing more than a glorified sludge of processed milk and toppings. Stellamaris clearly enjoyed one of them more than the other- finding the idea of his nice cold treat turning into a horrible mockery of soup to be... unappealing, to say the least.

He refused to have any of his own, instead quietly watching as he saw others enjoying their iced treats. The wilder the flavors that were chosen, the more disgusted the equos was when it turned into sludge. Sure, the others could eat as fast as they could possibly manage, but that didn't mean that they would be able to beat the summer heat and eat it all before it melted. Not to mention the amount of brain freeze that would come when you tried to do such a thing. At some point he couldn't even look towards it, especially when some of them started to actually drink the useless sludge left behind. 

Instead of focusing on that, he took a sip of the drink he had ordered for himself as an alternative. Part of him wanted to have some ice cream too, but he'd be patient enough to wait for winter to roll around. Sure, some of the flavors that he enjoyed wouldn't be around for the season, but at the very least he could enjoy it without having to worry about the melting heat. 

He was a big fan of ice cream, he loved it actually- but he just hated whatever it was that ice cream turned into once it melted. Because to Stellamaris, it was certainly not ice cream anymore, and had no right to be considered as such even by the most deranged individuals.
