How to Raise a Dragon | Shimmering Egg

Stellamaris looked down at the rounded item in his hands, and let out a small sigh. It seemed that the world just so happened to want the Equos to be put in situations where he ended up being mistaken for a father- though admittedly finding the equivalent of a baby abandoned in the wilderness was a bit more shocking in comparison to a misplaced gift. 

He instinctively held it to his chest, sitting himself on the ground as he found himself in thought. There was a lot of things he could do with a dragon egg, of course one of the obvious answers would be to sell it for a pretty decent stack of coins. However, once he looked at the egg again, seeing the metal plating on the outside of the egg shimmer in bright silver, he frowned. He couldn't sell it, that would quite literally be like selling an infant, and though he was rather cruel at times, he would never do something so horrific. It definitely helped that the metal plates on the egg reminded him of his own scales, though different in the sense that he was much more colorful than the egg. 

Stellamaris looked down to the egg, and felt the urge to bring it close to him once more. He knew that he had to keep the egg close to him, and he swiftly found himself a solution in order to make it easy. He unwrapped his cloak from his neck, securing it around his chest and a little bit over his arms, positioning it in just the right way so that he could place the egg on the fabric and cradle it gently. It was an easy way to keep the egg close to him without having to hold it the entire time. 

Once the egg was secure, he started to make his way forwards. He could go back home immediately, try to figure out what to do, but he was smarter than that. He knew that if he was going to raise an egg from Arkusterra, he would need Arkusterran materials. And those beasts around the world be damned, he would be getting those materials before he went home. Admittedly, it wasn't something that Stellamaris would do normally, putting himself in possible danger for the sake of something or someone else, but this egg was apparently an exception for him. 

Maybe the universe made the right choice putting this little egg in his line of sight.
