Deeno is a frail saurian who was cast out of his tribe after failing his challenge. If not for his brother gaining him extra time after to flee then he likely would have died that day. Needing to take shelter a few times as his lack of pigment made him heat up much faster than his kin. Deeno and Meemo are twins, found in the same nest by the tribe and raised until the trials began, which was the first time they were ever seperated.

Even now Deeno worries that Meemo is struggling, and while he has Kaiya he still feels lonely. After going to a cafe with his roomie, bestie, and boss Deeno adopted a gitty. Naming them Aspic and feeling a little less lonely. There is also the plus of Aspic offering some support to keep Deeno from spiraling when alone. The saurian is a neurotic fellow, and worries if he doesn't follow a certain schedual or complete a task in a specific way then something bad will happen. It's one of the things that made his life harder when a young hatchling, with only Meemo seeming to understand and help him albiet confused. Aspic can sometimes distract Deeno from the incoming dread or panic when something changes or if Kaiya is out later and he worries she died or something.

Now that he has time not focused on survival mode... Deeno has taken up writing, having published two short horror stories that have become popular. One based on his first meeting with Kaiya when he thought she was planning to eat him. Thier over that now and treat it as a joke. But his 'prey animal' like stare is always present.

Relationships:

• Kaiya: The fist one to really... Not look down on him or like he was some defect. Sure, he was terrified and expected her to eat him when she said he would be a good roomate at first glance but it's fine! Kaiya has been patient, helping him adjust to life outside the desert and doesn't even seem offended when he feels sick.. It's nice.
• Cathy: Kaiya's girlfriend, while Cathy isn't near as big as Kaiya she was still very eneregtic. She unowingly threw off Deeno's mental checklist and he almost paniced then and there. After that and a couple of visits he has since grown used to her. They sometimes chat and paint nails together.
• Meemo: Deeno's twin and closest friend since hatching, never apart until after the failed trial. Deeno sometimes has days he falls ill worrying about how Meemo is fairing. He doesn't miss the desert as much as the memories of what it was like to have a home. Deeno can't go back, but he knows Meemo is alive and that's enough for him. One of the protagonist in his current stories is based on him.
• Nabilah: Deeno's adoptive mother, before the twins really branched out to make friends amoung their tribe as hatchlings Deeno could be found in the cook's kitchen. Hiding behind her legs or asleep in her lap during breaks. Deeno was a clingy hatchling and when he was sick it was worse. Sometimes... Deeno writes letters, he doesn't know if they get to her but... He misses her.
