Demon Mafia

All those who wish to join shall bear the family crest.

With the rise of demonic influence in the human realm rose the DEMON MAFIA, a collective of demons united under the rule of The Lord with but one goal: dominion over human affairs.

Simply put, the MAFIA has no interest in annhilation of the human race nor to establish a new regime with one of their own ontop, at least not on the outside, but rather pull the strings from the shadows. 

Ever expanding their territory, deploying Vassals to work as Clan leaders of city districts, the MAFIAs area of influence has long since surpasses the confines of the city of their founding. Surprisingly often so without major resistance, due to having made a name for themselves as benefactors to humans, donating generous amounts of money to various human organizations, funding projects and aiding in "uplifting" human society.

Behind closed doors however, they bear their fangs as every deal made with the DEMON MAFIA is "a deal made with the devil" and the price to pay should one find themselves on their "Blacklist" may just be more than their soul.

The Family

Lord

"He who has near absolute control over the family, feared and revered for he holds power over life and death."

First lieutenant

"Leaving behind all past ties, his loyalty only lies with the lord."

Functioning as The Lords second in command, the First Lieutenant belongs to the small circle of trusted individuals to the leader. As much power as he holds, as severe are the consequences for betrayal of his lordships trust. Where others might be allowed to beg on their knees for a second chance, a "gentle" reprimanding or just a fine, no such luxury is granted should The Lord ever suspect the First Lieutenants "infidelity"...

Advisor

"What the right hand is in the dark, the advisor is in the light."

The advisor plays the role of the mafias corporate & legal associate. They are, as the name suggests, responsible for all matters legal and the subsequent superficial legitemacy of the mafias doings. Furthermore they monitor the public image and of need be, give advice as to what actions should be undertaken in order to keep up morale within the general populus. 

Vassals

"Our big brothers, watching where the lords gaze does not reach."

Vassals are essentially Clan leaders, distributed over districts or, depending on the size, the entire city. While still recognizing The Lords absolute authority, they are allowed to act with a certain degree of freedom as long as they manage to maintain their hold onto their territory and deliver what is asked of them.

Enforcers

"His lordships personal servants."

Enforcers are not to be trifled with as they only take direct orders from either The Lord himself or his second in command. They work as personal bodyguards but are also the ones sent out, should word of a Vassal stepping out of line reach The Lords ears. Depending on the severity of said Vassals transgressions, their method of enacting The Lords will may range from a simple "friendly" visit to totally dismantling the current leading clan, disposing of its head and establishing a new order.

Soldiers

"Brothers in mind and arms."

As honorable as the title may sound, soliders make up the brunt of the mafia and the title can mean anything from a local street thug to a more destinguished position such as the local chief of law enforcement, as it is not uncommon for sub-groups to form within this rank, each with type of ranking system. It is also most common within this rank, that troubles arise, troubles which The Lord himself is not too fond of.

Still, it is this rank that makes up the main fighting prowess of the mafia as well as the main working force.

Initiates

"Our youngest family members"

Under this term fall all those who have newly gotten involved with the mafias dealings. Depending on the path they may chose, they can either attempt to make a name for themselves in the hopes of climbing up the ranks or remain at the lowest rank, largely uninvolved in greater criminal activities.

In many cases, initiatives only learn about their involvement within the mafia due to a slip up of their superiors, but as such are generally given the most easily dismissed and often times gives the most leniency should they refuse to continue their work. Granted, this only applies if they can keep their mouths shut.
