Crossbreeding will soon be removed. Existing slots and items can still be used until January 2025, after which they will become useless. CB characters may be subject to edits once crossbreeds are removed. As such, use this feature at your own risk.

Via pairing, characters can have visual features of other species! While that is possible, one species is always the dominant/main one (and the one they are listed on the masterlist as). The other species will be listed as the crossbreed species. This guide shows you which features each species has, and gives examples for legitimate crossbreeds at the end!

This list may be subject to change in future, so it is advised to check back whenever you plan a crossbreed character! If you are unsure about something feel free to ask!

Design Guidelines

• The crossbreed design must have more features of the main species than the crossbreed species.
• If the crossbreed species removes a feature (eg. horns), this feature removal counts as a crossbreed species feature.
• The design should include only features of the parents subtype (where applicable). For example, if one parent was a marine dragon, marine dragon features should be used. 
• Refrain from using both tail and ear features from the crossbreed-species. Vice versa, choose at least tail or ear features from the main species.
• Crossbreeds do not allow for duplicated limbs (eg. 2 sets of ears, 2 sets of wings) unless the design has a trait that grants it (eg. Archdemon, Mutation). In other words, pick ears from one species, and tail from one species. You can however merge the idea of two tails into one (eg. demon tail with floof).
• Features that are the same on both species will count as a main species feature (eg. demon x angelus hybrid, the pointed ears count as an angelus feature).
• Features inherited from other species must stay in the same location as on the original species, eg. wings must stay on the back unless it's an demon with archdemon trait.
• Traits on the slot must appear in the design, eg. if you have scalloped ears on a crossbreed lopilu, you must use the scalloped lopilu ears.
• You may remove traits during the design update if you do not plan to use them.

When sending in a crossbreed MYO, please add your intended list of features, eg.:
Dragon x Human Crossbreed
- 1 Horn (Human)
- Human Feet (Human)
- Armoured Tail (Dragon)
- Horn (Dragon)
- Scales (Dragon)
- Pointed Ears (Dragon)

This will make the mods work during approval much easier!

A bit of an oddity!
As a main species...

• Must keep human legs and anatomy
• Must keep human or elf-like ears, no straight up animal ears
• Can have different types of legs(eg. glowstick legs from gleamstic, fuzzy legs from equos)
• Can have add-ons (eg. floof from beastling, scales from serpents)
• Can have skin colors/markings from the crossbreed species bust must keep a good amount of human skin

As a crossbreed species...

• Can remove features from the main species (eg. tail)
• Can exchange features with main species (eg. human ears instead of bunny ears, human feet instead of paws)
• The amount of features removed/exchanged from the main species must be smaller than the amount of main species features!
