a fouatin wish

it was much too warm for usagi’s liking as the lop haphazardly pushed there through the undergrowth. “ it's around here right, i haven’t been misled right ? “ Usagi sounded tired, their voice raspy and strange and they hated it. the fountain of creation was a commonly known thing yet Usagi knew next to nothing about it, a fact born from the lops extremely sheltered and controlled early childhood, there was many things Usagi didn't know and it was embarrassing, but what was even more embarrassing was the way other lops looked at them while they tired to gather information... just as Usagi was about to give up the undergrowth of this place seemingly unending they stumbled in to a open meadow a great and beautiful lake in front of them... and they froze '' ahhh it was actually real huh “ 

Usagi looked at the water, strangely clear, much so to a point its depth was indeterminable vai eyeing it alone. The gray lop stood almost paralized staring as small blossoms softly floated by, did they need to get in the water? , drink it ? or was the wish to be made determined vai something of an unknown ritual with the blossoms. Usagi couldn’t remember the lops brain blank, nothing but a strange hollow happiness at finally reaching the mysterious lake. Ah it didn’t really matter, Usagi would simply have to go through each thing individually, and with this their friend would finally be better. Right ?. they had to get better. they had too..they had too they had too, there was no other acceptable outcome. 

standing now with their paws in the water. Usagi shook, they hated ater, just hated it... but this was all for their friend so they just had to keep walking further in. Usagi stopped once the water reached their knees simply unable to force themself to go deeper, taking a deep breath and pulling out a small crumpled photo, it showed a younger Usagi and a second more cheerful Lopilu “ ahh don't worry my friend, it will be over now “, quickly putting the photo away Usagi drank some of the lake water and gathered as many blossoms to themself that where within reach. griping one of them tight Usagi spoke

“ i wish for my friend to never leave me again “ 

The words were sudden and most definitely not what the lop had originally planned to say. 

“ wait, no nononononoo” They sputtered out a string of ‘ nos ‘ “ THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT TO WISH “ what even was that, how gross, simple having them by Usagis side was not enough, heck even if the other lop left eventually so long as the wrong had been fixed Usagi would have been fine... 'what was this. what was this’ with their mind going blanker then before and as a strange numbness filled them, Usagi could only pray there wish had not just been wasted on something like that. 

as tears began to stream down there face Usagi started screaming, all around them simply forgotten

Usagi only stopped once they stopped being able to make noise, staring once again blankly at the water... ‘ ahh it's over now huh ‘ with that thought Usagi began to leave. feeling lost and more haggard than before.
