Fun in LUMEN

As the neon lights of Lumen flickered to life, casting a colorful glow over the bustling streets, Kaiya stretched with a satisfied hum. The work day was finally over, and she was free to do whatever she wanted.

The nimera’s ears wiggle with glee seeing the clock, and she didn’t skip a beat to take off her apron and leave her work station. She freshens herself up, getting a cheeky nudge from her coworker that questions why she’s getting all dolled up for. Kaiya rolls her eyes and blows a raspberry at them—sshe wanted to finally go on a date with her dork of a boyfriend, so maybe she was a bit overly excited about it.

Kaiya gives her boss a wave as she leaves through the front door. The air was filled with excitement and the promise of a fun-filled night. She didn’t skip a beat to run up and lift the infernalis up in her arms, giving him a peck on the lips.

Akhand couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth in his chest as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she grinned down at him, his own mouth curving into a smirk as he took her hand and led her down the street, weaving in and out of the crowds.

They walked for a while, their fingers laced together, as they chatted about anything and everything. Kaiya's ears flicked happily at his laugh, and she giggled when Akhand told a particularly bad joke.

Kaiya stopped in her tracks when she saw a cute karaoke bar, and her ears wiggled with interest, looking at the sign and the posters plastered on the windows. Akhand looks over his shoulder at her, raising an eyebrow, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

"I know what you're thinking." He says this, his eyes twinkling in the neon lights. "And I think we should go for it."

"Really?" Kaiya's ears wiggle in excitement, and she grins widely. "Alright then! Let's go!"

She eagerly drags him into the establishment, and after paying, the two of them were led to a private booth, equipped with a karaoke machine and a small screen.

Kaiya immediately jumps up and chooses a song, handing the microphone to Akhand with a grin. He laughs and takes the microphone, singing along as the music starts. He does well for the most part, though he has to look at the lyrics once or twice. Kaiya watches, amused, as he gets into the song, singing his heart out.
