A Stealthy Mission

Moving along silently with the knowledge that was given to him, Hermes silently made his way through the hallways of the Alien spaceship. Ears flicking when he hears any noise coming towards him, he quickly ducks into the shadows and lays low, remembering to turn off his glow so that he won’t get caught by the Arma Caeli.

Each obstacle he came across, Hermes thought about how to work his way through it, remembering the described security measures and he was able to work though them without alerting the Aliens to the fact that he was there, his journey silent as he went along. Reaching one specific security point, Hermes narrowed his eyes thoughtfully as he tried to figure out just how to lure the guard away from where Hermes himself needed to be.

An idea struck the albino raccoon so he quickly and carefully found a way to get his way up to a vent he found and he carefully opened it then made his way into it, sliding the vent grate back closed. Keeping his glow off, Hermes quietly made his way through the vent towards the one above the last security measure he needed to work through. When he reached his destination, he quietly rifled through the small pouch that he’d brought with him on his hip and when he found what he was looking for, he grinned widely.

Hermes settled the small piece of petrified wood into the makeshift, cloth slingshot then rapidly spun it around in the air then with a quick flick of his wrist, he sent the petrified wood flying through the vent where it slammed into the far end of it then slid through the gaps of the vent and onto another part of the ship that was a lot farther away from where he was currently hiding. Peeking out through the gaps of the vent, he watched as the guard stepped forward when the metallic plunk was heard followed by the sound made when the wood fell to the floor below.

He nervously rolled his tongue along the inside of his lower lip, playing with his snakebite piercings, he watched as the guard left their post then Hermes listened as they traveled away from their post to investigate what had caused the noise. Easing the grate open, Hermes opened it far enough for him to slip through so he quietly dropped down from the vents then looked at the security measure then quickly worked through it then dashed through the doors when they opened, dropping into a slide then he rolled into the shadows when he heard something moving his way.

Once the Alien walked away, Hermes slunk through the shadows then his eyes widened significantly when he spotted the Vault that he’d heard talked about among not only other Gleamstic but from traveling Alien Gleams.

“Jackpot.” Hermes whispered under his breath.
