Elena's beginning
- Love will make its way through everything, won't it?
Elena was tired of listening to her father repeat it day after day as she sat in one corner, tears falling on her cheek. She'll turn 19 tomorrow, and she couldn't wait to leave this house as soon as possible. She has stuck with it for a year after she turned into a young adult. She should be responsible for her own life now. She wished she could go, find a job, and buy a small house filled with her dreams. But then again, her father kept begging her to stay. Because of her empathy, Elena couldn't leave this miserable old man behind. She locked herself inside her own cage of kindness, and the guilty feelings kick in every time she wants to pack up her stuff to go find freedom. That's why she was still here, tears over her cheek, wanting no more than her father to shut up. He kept talking about love, passion, and faith. Her mother hasn't returned home for weeks; maybe she's living with one of her lovers now. In this shattered family, Elena remembers that this is not the first time. Her father fell in love with a famous actor, and he's going crazy with it. She can't do anything to change this truth, so the best solution is to find peace for herself instead. She ignored him, went into her bedroom, locked the door, and put on her headphones. On the screen, there was a bright triangle shape with soft colors moving around that helped her calm down, just for a while, before she started to cry again.
She knows he'll dump her away soon, to the orphanage or the street, which is her very next home. He's a greedy man; he was thirsty for everything. When she was young, he killed her joy and happiness to earn money, and now that they're richer, he starts to kill over himself and the money they shed blood to find for his new love. During her childhood, Elena was going to school for the first 2 years, when she struggled with a little bit of bullying and hardly found friends to play with. She cursed the school, so her father withdrew her from it. She stayed home to help him sell tech accessories or spare parts for special equipment. That was all hard work, but Elena found some joy in handling the digital devices. She develops an interest in coding, fixing machines, and building resources for AI software. But they were short on money those months, which made her father more frustrated than normal. His head was full of bills, debts, and negativity. He hit her and threw away her little dream when Elena finally found the confidence to tell him. He told her she should not dream of what they couldn't achieve, and she tormented him every day about it. In anger, he accused her of some mistakes that she didn't make. But Elena understands her father's problems. She tries to endure him, giving up on her hobbies to try earning money. Surprised, he decides not to bring her to the orphanage and has nurtured her until now as a source of income. But even with that, they never had enough money; their lives have been very hard of all kinds. That's not the problem; Elena still loves this life so much more than the situation of being abandoned in an orphanage. In that moment, she felt very happy; she loves her father very much. But that state doesn't last long.
One day, after a small motorbike accident, she got some scratches on her legs, which needed bandaging and rest. But her father, after seeing that, started to scold her for not being careful enough to let that happen. She cried, trying to explain, but he didn't listen; instead, he told her to go buy him beers. In that moment, she can only bite her lips to hide away the anger inside of her and how indifferent her father is when she's vulnerable like this. She walks much slower than before. Elena tried her best to get to the supermarket, but halfway through, she was stopped by a strange woman with a knife. She shakes the confusing girl, asking her if she wants to join her utopia. That woman has messed up hair, wide-open eyes with a scary stare, and her lips are bleeding. Elena got frozen; she couldn't have any reaction but to scream for help. That woman, who looks exactly like a killer, was trying to calm her down, telling her not to make any sound, but Elena was already gaining some attention. People on the pavement start to look at them with concern, some of them pulling out their phones and calling the cops. That woman said through her clenched teeth that her voice was full of anger.
- Follow me. I know where you live. If you don't be obedient, I'll kill you and your dad. Do you want to die, bitch?
Elena tries to hold down her tears. She looks again at the knife that was hidden under that woman's thick coat. Then she turned her head, looked at the people around her, and forced out a smile, waving to them and telling them that she's okay. Some still look over them in doubt, but she has already started walking behind that woman. She doesn't want trouble; she doesn't want to be killed or leave her father involved. Elena wishes there would be nothing dangerous and that she would be released later.
- "I only want to go home. God, please save me."
- What have you got here? A trembling, weak human?
Elena looks up. She didn't realize they had been walking for an hour. Here she is inside a small room full of dust with not many interiors; maybe this is not where the mentioned Utopia is, just a temporary place for them to bring newfound victims? Elena realizes she's trembling, and her tears are falling down on her cheek. In the middle of the room, there's an orange-haired woman who's emitting a strange aura. Elena takes a closer look at her. She's wearing a short green dress with a yellow minishirt. The outfit, the colors, and her actions are nothing scary, but the way she looks and says them sends Elena some chills down her spine.
- I'm sorry, Master Kiriko. This one looks easy to manipulate, and she's going alone. I can't bring more strong ones; they're too hard to threaten.
The woman with a knife supplicates. But the woman in the green dress, Kiriko, motioned for her to stop. Her black, deep eyes shoot out a deadly stare before she flips her hair and turns away. This is the moment when Elena realizes that this woman doesn't have a physical body. She's just an illusion! But this is a good opportunity; she can sneak away while they're communicating.
- You are useless; these weaklings can't help us.
The killer-looking woman screams in despair before collapsing to the ground. Elena couldn't understand, but she ran to the door and turned the door knob. But it's locked. Her heart feels like it dropped. Kiriko looks at her with scornful eyes before making a strange hand motion. A gate opened, leading to a colorful tunnel right next to Elena. It has a very strong force pulling her inside. She tried her best to avoid it, but she couldn't. Elena cried.
- I want to go home! Please! Let me go!
- No, I think you can make something good. Or at least a slave. I'll bring you with me.
That's the last line she ever heard; this scene was also the last one she saw on Earth. Her home… She got pulled into that tunnel, and her head hit the border. She couldn't see anything; she heard only loud noises of wind blowing. Her consciousness is starting to leave this world and her body.
A man with rabbit ears wakes her up. Elena opened her eyes and almost got blown away by the amount of colorful neon lights hanging behind him. Those lights were too vivid for her eyes to take.
- Excuse me, sir. Where is this?
- You're in Sanctuary, realm Loova. You look like a realm traveler; are you Lady Kiriko's people?
- Lady Kiriko?
Elena can't remember anything, but those names make a bad impression on her; maybe she has encountered them? Before she could answer, that dead stare appeared behind that rabbit man. A woman with orange hair. She smiles, but her eyes don't do so.
- This is my people, Armanjis. Please let me take her.
- No!
Elena yelled, stood up, and quickly ran away. Kiriko tries to chase her, but that rabbit man has stopped that woman. Taking the chance to flee, she ran until she collapsed. Leaving Sanctuary, she sneaked onto a floating ship with no idea where she was headed. But at least that place won't have Kiriko and her people; she'll be happy to live there and figure out the way to return to Earth.
Years later, Elena got much more experience; she lives alongside the Lovabuns on the Skyreach, the sky city. She also successfully makes a contact line with Blue in Levitheas and joins the force of anti-Utopia people.
